Catherine is the NC State President of AARP. She is a doctorally prepared nurse who has spent a career working with chronically ill patients and their families. She is a passionate advocate who has worked with health systems and care providers to develop programs and services that encourage people to take charge of their health and make decisions about issues such as palliative care and end-of-life.
